What does CIF price mean for importing a car to Kenya?
CIF stands for Cost, Inspection and Freight — the vehicle, its inspection and sea freight to Mombasa port, at today's exchange rate. It excludes KRA import duty, which is assessed on KRA's CRSP valuation for the model and year (not on the CIF price), plus VAT, IDF, RDL, port handling and clearance. We quote duty per vehicle.
