The fifth-generation Toyota RAV4 (2019 onward) is one of the strongest value propositions in the Kenyan SUV market. Built on Toyota's TNGA-K platform, it offers rugged styling, practical interior space and a hybrid option, all at a lower price than the Harrier.

There are two engines. The 2.0-litre petrol (171 hp) is the simple, lower-cost choice. The 2.5-litre hybrid (218 hp system output) is far more economical and available with E-Four electric AWD. Grades include X, G and the Adventure, which adds a tougher look and a little more ground clearance (200 mm against 195 mm). Hybrid versions of the G and Adventure are the most popular.
