Understanding Car Import Prices from Japan to Kenya
Every price on this page is CIF Mombasa — the vehicle, inspection and sea freight to the port. It is the figure we control and quote to the shilling. KRA import duty is not included, because KRA does not tax the price you paid: it taxes its own CRSP valuation for that make, model and year, adjusted for age and engine size, at whatever rates the current Finance Act sets. We quote that figure for the specific vehicle you choose.

Why we don't publish a landed price
Two cars with the same CIF price can attract very different duty, and KRA revises the CRSP schedule and excise bands without notice.
