Two parts: the CIF Mombasa price we publish for every car, plus KRA import duty. KRA does not tax the price you paid — import duty, excise, VAT, IDF and RDL are applied to KRA's own CRSP valuation for the make, model and year, adjusted for age and engine size, at the rates in the current Finance Act. Because CRSP and excise bands change, we quote duty per vehicle rather than publishing a landed estimate.

Toyota Vitz, Honda Fit, Nissan Note and Suzuki Alto are typically the most affordable. Their small engines attract the lowest excise band and lower freight costs; KRA duty is quoted per vehicle.

Six to ten weeks from auction purchase to Nairobi delivery: auction processing 1–2 weeks, sea freight to Mombasa 3–5 weeks, KRA clearance and inland transport 1–3 weeks.

Toyota consistently holds best resale value — Land Cruiser Prado, Harrier, and Hilux most reliably. Subaru Forester and Nissan X-Trail also hold value well. Toyota dominates because spare parts are cheaply and widely available.

Yes. Our clearing agents handle all KRA documentation — IDF filing, customs valuation, duty payment, KEBS inspection, and port release. You don't need to visit the port. We update you at each step and provide all clearance documents.

Most of them. About 90% of our cars come with the original Japan auction sheet showing the auction grade, verified mileage, interior and exterior condition marks, and full equipment list, which we show on the vehicle page. The rest are dealership cars, which have no auction sheet but come with a warranty instead.
